Our mission at the University Pediatricians Autism Center (UPAC) is to deliver engaging, safe, and ethical Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals of all ages and abilities. We are committed to providing culturally competent, respectful, and educational support to every family we serve.
Our passionate team of highly trained Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and Behavior Technicians (BTs) ensures the highest quality in every session. We place a strong emphasis on education and actively involve parents and caregivers in the process. At UPAC, we believe that empowering families with the knowledge and tools they need to advocate for and support their loved ones is key to achieving long-term success.
Our vision is to embrace and celebrate the richness of neurodiversity within our community. We are dedicated to providing cutting-edge, evidence-based learning approaches that are thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. By fostering an environment where individual strengths are recognized and nurtured, we aim to empower every individual to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
The University Pediatricians Autism Center has proudly served multiple communities for over a decade, establishing a strong presence in the Metro-Detroit area. Our highly educated team specializes in evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment, as well as autism diagnosis and evaluation services for children and young adults aged 2 to 21 years. We operate two state-of-the-art autism centers conveniently located in Novi and Clinton Township, MI.
At the University Pediatricians Autism Center, our team of highly trained clinicians is excited to welcome your family. Our clinicians have undergone rigorous university-level training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from accredited institutions. Many have completed internal practicums with us and have chosen to continue their careers at UPAC, reflecting their commitment to our mission.
We ensure our clinicians receive advanced training in behavior analytic services, incorporating best practices and evidence-based methodologies. Our ongoing educational opportunities include specialized training in Relational Frame Theory (RFT), Motivational Interviewing, and other advanced topics. Additionally, we are proud collaborators with Dr. Gregory Hanley on his Practical Functional Assessment and Skills-Based Treatment protocols, enhancing our ability to provide effective, research-driven interventions.
Our Behavior Technicians also receive extensive training, including over 50 hours of initial education on Autism and ABA, complemented by hands-on training to ensure precise application of treatment plans. Ongoing supervision and regular observations by our clinicians, along with continuous training opportunities, support their professional growth. We take pride in many of our Behavior Technicians pursuing advanced careers in behavior analysis, demonstrating their dedication to the field.
