PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parent Involvement

1 in 36 children has been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder - according to the CDC

We want parent involvement and input!

Parents know their child best and we want children to be successful beyond the ABA treatment so we include parents in our process every step of the way!

How are parents involved?

  • During intake we meet with the parents to learn about the child and hear the parents thoughts and concerns; we take these perspectives into consideration when developing goals and a plan.

  • We include parent goals in every treatment plan that are tailored to YOU! WE will provide support, education and guidance to accomplish these goals in our hands-on parent education meetings.

  • During weekly or bi-weekly meetings we will also maintain communication on progress and updates within your child’s treatment so that you can be highly involved with their treatment!

How frequent are parent education meetings?

  • Meetings are typically held once per week or bi-weekly. At minimum, we want to ensure that meetings occur at least once per month to ensure parent involvement and success on parent goals.

What is the goal of parent involvement?

  • We want parents to be confident when interacting with their child, teaching their child, managing their child’s behaviors, and bonding with their child.
  • We also want parents to be a part of the process of developing goals and treatment strategies and understanding the rationale behind the strategies.
